While you’re in town for the Portland Jigsaw Masters, we’ve put together some of our favorite local spots to eat, drink, shop, and explore — all within 2 miles of the event venue (well, almost all — we made one scenic exception). This guide will help you piece together a memorable trip.

    This rooftop lounge is atop the KEX Hotel—a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail on a summertime evening.

  • Fire On The Mountain Wings (1.1 miles)
    Crispy wings, local beer, and a fun, no-frills atmosphere.

  • Screen Door (1.5 miles)
    Our breakfast rec: southern-inspired comfort food. Come hungry, and be prepared for a line — it’s worth it.

  • Soro Soro Japanese Café & Desserts (1.5 miles)
    Korean cafe for matcha lattes and the cutest pastries.

  • Voodoo Donut (.9 mile)
    Portland's most iconic donut shop. Go weird, go sweet. Vegan options are available!

    The largest independent bookstore in the world!

  • Crafty Wonderland (2 miles)
    Find local handmade art, gifts, and quirky treasures.

  • Lan Su Chinese Garden (1.1 miles)
    A peaceful oasis in the city — perfect for a midday recharge.

  • Waterfront Park Trail (1.4 miles)
    Stretch your legs and take in views of the river and bridges.

  • Pittock Mansion (4 miles — okay, a little far!)
    Built in 1914*, this historic mansion offers some of the best panoramic views of Portland. Worth the short drive or ride share if you have the time.
